Sweden: fake “police officer” and home-repair pretext, elderly woman robbed in Stockholm

Summary: A case of fraud (bedrägeri) has been reported against an elderly woman. How the scam works (example): vishing / impersonation scheme

2. Phone call from a fake officer who "confirms" the intervention.
3. Home visit and theft of cash and valuables.

If you receive a similar contact, hang up and call the official number of the Police or the relevant authority yourself. Do not let anyone into your home without prior verification.
